In Switzerland, a driving ban applies on all Sundays on the entire road network from 00:00 to 24:00 for vehicles over 3.5 t maximum permissible gross weight, as well as for semi-trailer trucks with a weight of more than 5 t maximum permissible gross weight and for vehicles towing a trailer with a maximum permissible gross weight of more than 3.5 t.
The driving ban also applies on the following public holidays: 1 January (New Year’s Day), 3 April (Good Friday), 6 April (Easter Monday), 1 May, 14 May (Ascension Day), 25 May (Whit Monday), 1 August, 25 and 26 December. A general night driving ban applies to the above-mentioned vehicles from 22:00 to 05:00.

The driving ban also applies on the following holidays: 1 January (New Year), 18 April (Good Friday), 21 April (Easter Monday), 1 May., 29 May (Ascension Day), 9 June (Whit Monday), 1 August, 25 and 26 December. A general night driving ban applies to the above-mentioned vehicles from 22:00 to 05:00.
