2026:
Driving ban for trucks over 7.5 t permissible gross vehicle weight (GVW) on Sundays and public holidays from 13:00 to 22:00. A holiday driving ban applies from 1 July to 31 August on Fridays from 17:00 to 21:00 and on Saturdays from 07:00 to 13:00. The bans apply to motorways and first-class national roads.
An environmental sticker system exists in the Czech Republic. The German and Czech stickers are identical in color coding and emission group classification and differ only in shape. Thanks to mutual recognition, drivers with the German environmental sticker can drive in Czech environmental zones and vice versa.
Public holidays: 1 January, 3 April (Good Friday), 6 April (Easter Monday), 1 and 8 May, 5 and 6 July, 28 September, 28 October, 17 November, 24 to 26 December.
