No general driving ban.
However, for the inner city of Moscow (Third Ring Road), a daily driving ban from 6:00 to 22:00 applies to trucks over 12 t GVW. In addition, trucks over 12 t GVW may not use the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) and the urban area within the MKAD daily from 6:00 to 22:00. From May to October, the driving ban is extended on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and on the eve of a public holiday as well as on the public holiday itself, until 24:00.
For the city center of St. Petersburg, a year-round driving ban applies to all trucks. In the inner city of Kazan, a driving ban from 7:00 to 22:00 applies to trucks over 5 t GVW.
Public holidays: 1 to 5 January (New Year’s Day), 7 January (Orthodox Christmas), 23 February, 8 March, 1 May (Labour Day), 9 May (Victory Day 1945), 12 June (National Holiday), 4 November (Day of Unity of the Russian People).
