Tesla Model Y: From March, from 60,990 euros

The assembly in Brandenburg is said to have started these days, with deliveries beginning in March: parallel to the predecessor, which starts at just under 45,000 euros. Briefly on the data: The limited Launch Series offers a maximum WLTP range of 568 kilometers, of which always 300 plus x should remain in winter. It comes with all-wheel drive and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The top speed is 201 km/h. The model is available in various configurations with specific custom finishes.

More of a big facelift: Tesla hasn't changed much in the shell structure

Since its introduction almost five years ago, the Model Y has been produced more than 3.5 million times, making it indeed one of the most successful electric vehicles worldwide. In 2023, it became the first electric car to reach the top position in global sales charts—regardless of drive type. In Europe too, the Model Y often tops the registration statistics and was the best-selling vehicle of all drive types in 2023. However, competition has recently intensified, and indeed, Elon Musk's political demeanor is affecting sales figures: First European companies have therefore phased out the Tesla brand, regardless of vehicle qualities and assembly in Brandenburg. This increased the pressure to bring something new.

Revised body for increased efficiency

The new body of the Model Y has been further developed with an eye on aerodynamics, stability, and safety. The air resistance could be reduced, which together with new rims and low-rolling-resistance tires increases efficiency. Visually, the model stands out with revised lighting strips: The front strip is inspired by the design of the Cybertruck and equipped with adaptive curve lighting, while the rear light strip extends across the entire rear.

Interior: More comfort, better insulation

Inside, Tesla is now placing more emphasis on materials and craftsmanship. Aluminum accents and textile fabrics provide a robust and at the same time appealing appearance. Programmable ambient lighting and soundproofing measures such as all-round acoustic glazing are intended to increase comfort. Noise from the road, wind, and chassis has been noticeably reduced, while new so-called "Low-E glass" ensures a pleasant room climate.

The seats have been redesigned to increase comfort: The front seats feature ventilation, and the second row offers longer seat cushions and electrically adjustable backrests. Heated seats in both rows are also present. The interior is complemented by a newly developed center console with sliding shutters, aluminum trim, and additional storage space.
