Nufam 2025: MTTE launches electric cooling machines for distribution transport
Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Transport Europe GmbH (MTTE) is presenting its expanded portfolio of fully electric transport refrigeration units at this year's NUFAM in Karlsruhe. New units for all vehicle classes are being showcased – including trailer refrigeration with an external battery. The focus is clearly on zero-emission transport solutions.
Electric Innovations for Trailers and Trucks
As a premiere, MTTE announces the new fully electric underfloor refrigeration unit TEU for trucks. The unit complements the existing underfloor series, which previously relied on diesel technology. Additionally, the also fully electric trailer refrigeration unit TEF 1500 is making its debut at the trade show. It is available with an external battery and can be configured in different battery sizes.
Complete Preciso Portfolio at the Booth
In addition to the two trade show premieres, MTTE is presenting the complete Preciso product range of fully electric refrigeration units. The trade show presence is complemented by the diesel version TU of the well-known underfloor series. Also on display is the fully electric transporter unit TEK.
Exhibits in the Outdoor Area
In the outdoor area, MTTE showcases its refrigeration technology in real vehicle applications. On display are a MAN load-through train with a TU diesel underfloor unit, a MAN truck with the new fully electric TEU machine, and a van with the TEK electric unit. Additionally, an MTTE service vehicle is exhibited.
“With our attractive portfolio, we meet the demand for economical and environmentally friendly transport refrigeration solutions. We actively support our customers in the gradual decarbonization of their refrigerated vehicle fleets,” explains MTTE Managing Director Björn Reckhorn.
Strategy for Electrifying the Product Portfolio
MTTE is increasingly focusing on the electrification of all equipment classes in Europe – from transporters to trailers. The goal is to enable locally emission-free refrigerated transport, especially in urban and regional distribution traffic. At the same time, the company is continuing to expand its service network and product availability in Europe.
Target Group: Refrigerated Logistics with Decarbonization Needs
With the expansion of the electric product lines, MTTE is responding to the growing demand for emission-free solutions in refrigerated transport. The equipment targets transport companies that want to decarbonize their fleets while ensuring operational capability in urban areas. (av)
