Lotus clarifies its lineup: The focus is on a clearly structured model range with a new naming logic: Instead of cryptic abbreviations, the British are opting for numbers – “600” and “900” – which directly refer to the engine power in "old horsepower currency." This is intended to make configuration significantly easier and more transparent for customers. Content-wise, everything remains the same: The Eletre is a fully electric SUV with a sporty aspiration, while the Emeya is designed as a dynamic Gran Turismo for long distances.

The sub-designations follow classic model abbreviations

Both models can now be ordered in different trim levels, including the newly revised GT and GT SE variants, which follow classic Lotus design lines and at the same time meet modern technical and comfort requirements.

GT and GT SE stand for more equipment

The entry into the Eletre series begins with the Eletre 600, which comes with 450 kW of power, all-wheel drive, and a 112-kWh battery. This allows for up to 600 kilometers of range according to WLTP. Standard equipment includes, among other things, 20-inch wheels, LED matrix headlights, a generous head-up display, and a high-quality audio system. Those desiring more equipment can opt for the Eletre 600 GT or the 600 GT SE, with options for larger wheels, extended assistance systems, or a panoramic glass roof. Sporty-oriented drivers will choose the Eletre 600 Sport SE or the more powerful 900 Sport. The top model, Eletre 900 Sport Carbon, offers 900 hp along with carbon accents, active aerodynamic elements, and comprehensive comfort.

The entry in the Emeya lineup also begins with the 600 GT. It also delivers 450 kW but features a slightly smaller 102-kWh battery that enables up to 610 kilometers of range. Differences from the Eletre include the format of the head-up display and wheel sizes. Variants like GT SE or Sport SE expand the offer with design options, comfort features like front massage seats, as well as individual roof solutions. For maximum performance, the Emeya 900 Sport and the top model Emeya 900 Sport Carbon are available – with 675 kW of power and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under three seconds.

Typical refreshes: new colors and surfaces

Both Eletre and Emeya can be further individualized with equipment packages and new paint colors like Zenith White or Akoya White. Inside, exclusive materials such as the new performance fabric "Lotuswear" are used. The design lines “Quartz” and “Jasper” allow for different style directions. The high-quality ambiance is complemented by modern touch surfaces, ambient-lit elements, and a central infotainment system that can be individually configured. The seats offer ventilation and massage functions upon request.

Advantage on Long Distance: The Fast Charging

Always exciting for long-distance drivers: Both models rely on an 800-volt architecture and are thus, according to Lotus, among the fastest charging electric vehicles currently available. The Emeya charges from 10 to 80 percent at a 400-kW fast charging station in around 14 minutes, while the same process takes about 20 minutes for the Eletre. Despite all the technology, Lotus remains true to its core brand: the focus is on driving behavior. Eletre and Emeya are designed for agility, precision, and immediate feedback. The aerodynamic design follows the principle of "porosity" - a concept where air is deliberately directed through openings in the bodywork to increase stability and efficiency. This technology was originally developed for the Evija super sports car and has now been transferred to the new models.

All variants are available to order immediately. The first deliveries are expected in the summer of 2025. The starting price for the Eletre is just under 100,000 euros including tax, with the Emeya starting slightly above that.

What does that mean?

With the new model structure, Lotus aims to simplify access to its electric world while simultaneously combining individual desires, exclusive materials, and driving dynamics excellence.
